My Fourth Liebster Award 2018

Glenn McKenzie of justabitfurther very kindly nominated me ffor the Liebster Award. You can read about it by clicking on this link:

https://justabitfurther.wordpress.com/2018/12/19/first-liebster-award/

Glenn’s blog is a breath of fresh air. You can accompany him and his wife Lynn on their hikes as he gives you interesting accounts of their travels.

What I enjoy in Glenn’s blog even more than the adventures, are his reflections on life. Lynn takes the beautiful pictures of the landscapes that you can see in each post. These pictures are “poster perfect’ and some of them have won competitions and awards.

The Liebster Award is a blogger recognition award.

To quote Glenn :

” The Liebster Award (Liebster is a German word that means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome) provides new bloggers with the opportunity of discovery, as well as to support and connect with the community of bloggers. Bloggers nominate fellow bloggers with this recognition. Just taking the first step and blogging makes you a winner in my opinion.”

What makes me passionate about blogging:

I have always enjoyed writing. I used to free lance for a newspaper once upon a time.

With blogging, you are your own editor and publisher so that your finished piece is exactly the way you want it to be. Blogging provides you with instant feedback as well as the opportunity to discuss your work with others. So it is hard NOT to be passionate about blogging.

My Answers

  1. How did you pick your blog’s name?   This one’s easy. I wanted a name that would convey variety. Also I had fallen in love with salted caramel brownies just then. So the choice was rather obvious.

  2. What advice can you give someone who is just starting out in the blogging world?   My advice: don’t hesitate. Do a little background research and take the plunge. Blogging is a case of learn as you go. It is a constant learning process. You learn from others and from your own mistakes. I am still learning.

  3. What is your perfect comfort food?   Oodles of tea and muffins.

  4. Who is your favourite blogging person you follow? And why?  This is difficult. I am currently following more than 260 bloggers. I enjoy their writing and learn something new from them every day.

  5. Describe yourself in three words.   Difficult question again! But I’ll try: humorous, impulsive, worrier.

  6. What is your guiltiest pleasure?   Reading novels.

  7. What is your most prized possession?   My family; I am nothing without them. But if you mean material possessions : my smart phone.

  8. What single quality do you most appreciate in people?  Sincerity.

  9. What do you love most about blogging?Being able to write what I want, whenever I want and getting instant feedback from readers.

  10. What’s the favourite post that you’ve published? (Link, please!)

          Overcoming Decision Fatigue
