My Post Viral Lethargic Self…….
………And What I’m Doing About It
I have been suffering from a recurrent viral infection. Cough, sore throat, fever, sneezing and sniffling : you get the picture.
I am much better now. All the symptoms have subsided, but I am left with a non specific kind of state. I get tired very easily and often suffer from aching limbs.
This lethargic state is very irritating. I have lost quite a number of days to illness and now this post viral phase is not letting me get on with my life.
But i am not one to give up without a fight. I have devised a strategy and I hope it works.
These are some of the things I plan to do:
1. Get enough sleep.
2. Drink plenty of fluids : clear soup, fresh juice, herbal tea etc.
3. Rest periodically, as much as I can.
4. Take some light exercise, like a short walk, 10 minutes or so.
5. Avoid over commitment,( I have a tendency to pack too much into my day).
6. Say no to junk food.
I intend following this regimen for a couple of weeks. Hopefully this will do the trick.
