Could you cope with buying no clothes for a full year?

I could “cope” of course, most people have enough clothes to last them more than a year. I could survive, of course, but would you call it living? I have always been very fond of trying out new styles. I design most of my own clothes as well as those of family and friends—in my part of the world, made to order is still a viable option.

 

How many pairs of coloured/patterned socks do you possess?

I am more of a stockings person (the sheer kind). A few years ago, however, when individual toe socks(I don’t know the right name) were in fashion, I got lots of stripy, multicoloured ones.

 

What is YOUR number one fashion rule?

” Comfort over fashion always”– and I only wear what suits me rather than going in for every fashion.

What is the quirkiest customised outfit you have ever worn and where and what for did you wear it?

So many; I am having a hard time picking just one.

 

In your opinion what are 5 basic but important items of clothing?

Basic pants in black as well as white.

Soft chiffon or silk scarves in black as well as white.

A well tailored jacket.

Ok, so Flares? Once popular for the 70’s sure …. but where are they now?

Flares are still popular. I don’t know about haute couture, but regular people are wearing them these days too. I love them in soft flowing fabrics.

Which are your best three quotes that mean the most to you with regards fashion/clothing/lifestyle?

If you can’t stop thinking about it, buy it.

Smiles are always in fashion.

You obviously have favourite colours you enjoy wearing, we all do – but if you were asked to wear the opposite colours to what you normally wear what would those colours be?

Although I can wear all colours in the right combinations, my least favourite ones are bright blue and mustard.

 

What are the wrong trousers to wear like ever?

For me, tight fitted ones.

 

What is your favourite style of nightwear from the following options?

Definitely other– I like to wear loose well worn favourites out of my regular clothes.

Would you wear stripes with  squares?

I might, depending on what they were like.  There was a time when it was the rage to wear polka dot shirts with striped pants.

Heels, Boots, Flats, Loafers, Sneekers, Brogues, Thongs [Flip Flops], Running Shoes, sandals, Wedges, Slippers, Lace Ups, Decks, Wellingtons, Riding Boots, Mules, Ankle Boots, Boat shoes, Chukkas, Chelsea Boot, Slips ons?

I used to wear high heels a lot. But now I stick to wedges, slippers, mules and slides.

 

Are hats your thing? If so which styles?

Not to wear myself but I love to see them in pictures, movies etc.

 

For women; last time you wore a scarf and for men; last time you wore a tie?

Today. I wear long flowing scarves around my neck or shoulders every day. They are a part of the national Pakistani dress and are called “Dupattas”.

 

Have you ever physically suffered for the sake of a fashion trend?

Not on your life !  Like I said before, comfort over fashion any time !
