An Urban Cacophony

cacophony

A stream of cars

Horns honking, radios blaring.

Newspaper hawkers

Shouting the days headlines.

A cement mixer,

Churning to repair a road.

A fire engine

Clangs en route to a fire.

A siren wails,

Signalling an ambulance.

A mob gathers

Shouting political slogans.

Always some noise

Suggesting panic and urgency.

Such are the Sounds,

Of an urban cacophony!
