Question 1 What inspired you to start blogging?

The desire to write and be published.

Question 2 Have you inspired anyone you know to start a blog?

I can proudly say that I have. A dear friend downloaded the WordPress app just to read my blog posts. She then proceeded to launch her own blog and discovered what a talented writer she is. Her blog is now far more popular than mine.

Question 3 What has been your biggest blogging learning curve this year?

I don’t exactly know how you mean learning curve but I have realised that short posts with pictures and posts written in response to writing prompts do far better than long form content.

Question 4 Where do you see your blog in five years time?

Hmmmm. I would like to see it as an interesting place with a lot of variety and that enables me to make a little money too.

Question 5 Do you blog/write full time for a living – as a main profession – if so, what was the main turning point?

No. My blog is just a hobby as I can’t spend as much time on it as I would like. I would love to turn it into a full time career given the time and the oppurtunity.

Question 6 Tell us your biggest pet peeve about bloggers?

I don’t have a pet peeve about bloggers. My pet peeve is about “spammers”. I really hate it when my spam folder gets choked up and I have to delete spam comments one by one. I don’t know why this keeps happening even though I have Akismet, the anti spam software.

Question 7 What is the biggest tip you would give to bloggers trying to become ‘more successful’ bloggers?

Post frequently and consistently.

Question 8 Have you had any of your writing published by a magazine or newspaper etc editor – is so, please share a some links if you can, I’d love to read them?

I free lanced for a newspaper for a few months but this was 25 years ago. Unfortunately there were no links back then. Recently, an article I wrote was published in a newspaper but I don’t have the link. I will try to find it.

Question 9 Do you have any experiences of solo travel?

I have travelled to various cities in my own country for work. I don’t know if you would call that travelling per se. The tourist kind of travel abroad and at home I have always done with my family.

Question 10 Describe your most memorable travel experience and reasons why?

My most memorable travel experience is a week I spent in London. Why? I don’t think anyone who has spent some time there needs to ask. London is London.

Question 11 What has been your most disappointing travel experience and why?

I am afraid I can’t answer this one honestly. I like to travel so much that even a less than memorable trip seems fun to me.
