Diet is a four letter word
That invariably spells trouble.
When I see a dieter coming
I am quick to take flight,
Before I am forced
To hear the virtues
Of the Atkins Diet,
The South Beach Diet,
The Paleo Diet,
Or the Keto Diet.
Diets galore and
Diets ad nauseum.
When the simplest solution
Is to eat less and exercise more.

I’d never ever do one of those diets! I am dieting but my plan is food optimising! Not that I am actually on a strict diet!

That is my style too : avoiding empty calories and trying to eat healthy.

You just said it all, I don’t even blog about fitness that much but I was compelled to write a post about Eating in Moderation rather than jumping on the fad diet bandwagon just because so many people in my life have fallen into that trap 😛

I am so glad you are one of the people who have a sane attitude towards food.

Except I can eat like a pig. I have to remind myself to moderate.

But the important thing here is that you remember that moderation is the key.
And you cant go wrong with that.
So many dieters go to extremes and end up doing serious damage to their health.

Well, I only partially agree, following this philosophy, we could eat a candy bar ( 98% sugar 2%mediocre nutriments), exercise, and being in great shape. Being thin and-day slender or atlethic needs good food. Some food habits ( let’s call it lifestyle and not diet) are perfect for some metabolisms , some others are are not. Lifestyle doesn’t mean diet as a frustration. Or we could also use exercise as part a a frustrating diet. It can feel good to eat good, and it feels good to e etc use. ;)))))

Eating less in my book means consuming fewer calories and healthy foods have fewer calories than junk food etc.
This post was just a light hearted comment on strict diet regimens.
No offence meant.

Thank you for your answer. I totally agree, eating healthy is the key. You are totally right: it is not about the quantity but more of the processed and quality. ✨✨✨💚💚💚
