I have often wondered
What life was like before the Internet ?
How did we live without our daily contact
With friends halfway across the world
Chatting with them about politics or current affairs
Or what to make for dinner tonight.
How did we vent our peeves and opinions
When there was no social media.
How much time and effort did we take to visit the library
For a project assignment or other reference.
Dear Internet you are much appreciated.
Accept this small token of gratitude and endearment.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “ent” “ten” “net.” Use one, use two or use all three (bonus points for using two, double-bonus points for using all three). As Linda would say, use ’em any way you’d like. Enjoy!
Very true!

You know, we were just fine but everything just took more time.

It is a thought! How did we managed? But I guess we cannot miss something we don’t know about. Great poem.

Great response to the prompt (bonus points for you, for sure) and a question I’m sure many people ponder. It wasn’t so bad. You don’t miss what you’ve never had, and we were surprisingly resourceful and patient.

Thank you so much.
We usually berate the inyernet holding it responsible for most societal ills.
This time I thought why not acknowledge how useful it is.
