Fresh content and new ideas: these are things that bloggers as well as users of all other social media are constantly trying to find. The blogosphere and the social media stratosphere are like vast galaxies. These galaxies are populated with hundreds of thousands of bright stars, the glow of each of which is constantly clamouring for attention. With so much content creation going on every second can any idea be original? In other words, where can you find original ideas?
Today’s Question
How do you write fresh content when everything that is worth saying has already been said ?
My Answer
Someone once said that there is nothing new under the sun. Everything has been said before or done before.
Some might say that social media and blogging are relatively recent media so there is less chance of duplication or repitition. Here again comes something unique to the internet : content that is freely accessible is seen by the whole world once uploaded. Again lots of people are using all the internet platforms. Hence the chance of more than one person saying the same thing becomes manifold.
But let us not forget that each person is unique. The way a person reacts to / interacts with his environment and circumstances is also unique. It follows then, that the same thing when written by two people will be different.
You sbould not be shy of writing about topics that have already been dealt with. Remember your school teacher who used to say “Write the answers in your own words.” Your words and your perspective are what make your content fresh and original.
It may have been said before but it hasn’t been said by YOU.
I am really looking forward to reading YOUR answers. Please remember to tag your post

Not at all. There is no time limit and no formality. These questions are intended as conversations/discussions between bloggers.
You can even do the previous ones any time you want.

Thanks so much. It provides great information I think to new bloggers entering the field, but also for those who have been at it for a while, it makes us sort of take a step back and think about things and examine why we do or don’t do them.
