In 2020 I am going to make a list of affirmations instead of making New Year’s Resolutions:
1. Regret nothing.
2. Stay positive no matter what.
3. Savour the moment.
4. Stay away from toxic people.
5. Get up and go as much as possible.
6. Embrace minimalism within the limits of reason.
7. Look for sustainable alternatives.
8. Do It Now.
7. Experiences VS Things.
I am going to try and repeat these to myself as often as I can. This will hopefully alter my mindset for the better allowing me to be happier, feel fulfilled and be more productive.
What about you? Are you going to make new years’ resolutions or set goals for 2020? I would love to read about it in the comments section below. If you are not into new years’ resolutions and goal setting, I would love to know about that too.
I will be very grateful if you Like, Comment, Follow.
I will try to survive in my circumstances without self pity or getting bitter

Great choices. Simply focussing on those throughout 2020 and you will have grown and made such a grand impact on those around you.
On a side note though, I wonder how many people at this point on New Years Day, have or are going to shortly give up on the resolutions they’ve made already for the new year?

I have but two affirmations.
I will continue to be kind to others, no matter our differences.
I will continue my therapy for PTSD. I have two family members in my home with cancer, I must practice my own self care in order to care for them better.
I’m a retired military man, my PTSD is a direct result of some pretty horrible experiences.

Practising self care is a pre-requisite for care-givers.

No resolutions, no goals. One day at a time, it’s all anyone really has…

I’m pretty big on cutting out the toxic people. Anyone who tries to drag you down is no friend and doesn’t deserve you time. Great post!

That’s so cool. I like the idea of affirmations.
I’ve stopped believing in making resolutions because I’ve been too ambitious. All I want to do this year is celebrate life.
You can read more about my celebration in this post- https://randomnessinked.wordpress.com/2020/01/01/i-want-to-celebrate-life-in-2020s/

Affirmations instead of New Years’s Resolutions. I buy into that. Moreover…I’m going to try to live up to these!
