Have you ever thought of “niche-ing down” and why?

I have thought about selecting a niche several times. The first time was before launching my blog. All the posts and articles that I read about starting a blog advised choosing a niche as one of the first things to do. Later when I wanted to monetize my blog, having a specific niche seemed a prerequisite.Yet I have not been able to restrict myself to just one topic. I know that it makes sense to become an expeert in one field but I can’t bring myself to do it. Maybe, one day………..

 

What are the topics you like to write about ?

I love to write about a pot pourri of topics. When I first launched my blog, I thought that I could only write about food and books as these were the only things besides my work that  I knew anything about.Yet, once I began, I found myself blogging about personal development, travel, and blogging itself. I greatly enjoy writing prompts, challenges and quizzez.  

If you chose just one as your niche, how much would you miss writing about the others? At present, I find it difficult to imagine writing about just one topic. If at some time I do manage to discipline myself enough to “niche down” I am sure I will terribly miss blogging about all the others.
