Share Your World 4-27-2020

Wow! The last SYW for April 2020. Man! It’s unsettling how fast slow time can go.. I will post four or five different questions each week for you to answer. There are two ways which you can participate. Create a SYW post. Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave […]

Questions:

Do guns protect people or kill people? Or both?

Both. They protect people from those who want to kill them using said guns. Nothing is good or bad in itself; it is how you use it that makes it so.

Is it more important to be respected or liked?

I think this is largely a matter of personal choice. If there must be a choice, I would much rather be liked. Having said that, could you like a person without respecting them? The contrary, however, can be true; a person who is not particularly likeable may be highly respected in his chosen field.

Is having a big ego a negative or positive trait? (yeah I know. Duh. But there ought to be one “gimme’ in the pile)

Oh , negative, most definitely!

Depending on your point of view, is death a new beginning?

This is a question of religious belief more than personal opinion as far as the “dying person” is converted.

As for the family or close friends of the departed, it is definitely a new beginning, whether happy or sad.

  1. Thank you Dr. Tanya for Sharing Your World! Very sensible and thoughtful answers and you touched on something with your ‘death’ answer that most have overlooked – is death a new beginning? It surely is. For those left behind. Nice! 🙂
