TODAY’S QUOTE:

” I know nothing in the world that has as much power as a word. Sometimes I write one, and look at it , until it begins to shine.”

Emily Dickinson.

MY THOUGHTS

I chose this quote as a challenge since I cannot seem to relate to it, having never chosen my words with any particular care.My words are generally meant to convey whatever thoughts are in my mind. I look at them again only to check for typos and grammar errors.

Maybe this has to do with the medium one is writing in. For blogging (especially the non business kind), the choice of words does not seem so important. Then again, I have probably (no, definitely) not reached that level of mastery as Emily Dickinson.

What do you think? I would love to know. You can let me know in my comments section or in a post of your own. Just remember to tag it#blogginginsights

  1. I dont share Dickinson’s emthusiasm nor can I expect to pretend to have any writing skills but I think you answered your own perdicament. “My words are generally meant to convey whatever thoughts are in my mind” Bloggers like authors use words to convey thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. That is where the power is, not in the word per se. Even elemntary school words, grouped in the corect order can be very powerful.
