“Your intuition knows what to write, so get out of the way.” — Ray Bradbury
Many moons ago, we debated the merits of plotting versus “pantzing” (writing by the seat of your pants). Although a plot pertains more to a story whether novel, poetry or play, all forms of writing (blog posts included) can be planned. Some people belong to one of the two camps, those who plan their writing, and those who do not. I am still sitting on the fence, preferring to write spontaneously most of the time but planning my posts once in a while.
In today’s quote novelist Ray Bradbury takes us by the shoulders and tells us to write what our intuition tells us to. Like I said already, this is what I do most of the time.
What about you? How do you write your posts? Do you ever stand in the way of your intuition or do you allow it free reign? I would love to know.
