5 Un-put-down-able Books

Who doesn’t love a good thrller? They’re not as ‘comforting’ as cozy mysteries but far more exciting.

Here are 5 of my favourites:

1.The Testaments by Margaret Atwood

2. The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

3. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series by Stieg Larrson

4. Angels & Demons by Dan Brown

5. The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

Note : The two Margaret Atwood books I have included are not classed as thrillers per se but I found them more gripping than your average page-turner.

What are your favourites? I would love to know.

  1. I’ve seen The Silent Patient on a couple of my friend’s favorites list. It’s in my queue, I must remember to read it soon. My favorite most recent book, though not a mystery, but a beautiful story with enough “what comes next” to make it a page turner, was West with Giraffes. I highly recommend.

  2. Five books I was unable to put down were
Where the Rainbow Ends by Clifford Mills when I was a child,
Aliens and Aliens 3 before seeing the movies,
Dances with Wolves (the 4 hour version went back to the book and was much better)
Last Man Standing by David Baldacci and
    Scarecrow, by Matthew Reilly.
