TODAY’S QUOTE
“A writer never has a vacation. For a writer life consists of either writing or thinking about writing. “
MY THOUGHTS
I tend to disagree with quotes that I post here more often than I endorse them. But today’s offering is one that I agree with completely.
Even though I am not a professional writer, not thinking about writing seems a bit like turning off my brain. All the writing that I do on this little blog of mine has its basis in my thoughts; all of them.
In addition to my blog, I have a little WIP in the form of a novel. I have only managed three chapters in almost two years, but there is always hope. Whenever I have trouble falling asleep (which is rare) I think about my novel.
I don’t need a vacation from writing, or thinking about writing, since it is something I enjoy doing. If writing were my day job, I might feel differently.
What do you think? I would love to know.
Two years ago, I would have disagreed, but not now. I constantly find myself looking at situations and imagining it as content.

I totally agree.
Every situation and every conversation can be an inspiration for content.

We don’t ‘work’ as writers. We ARE writers. That’s a very big difference!

Correct. Writing is not work.

This is so true! I have a lot of little notebooks all around at home, and work. Just writing down thoughts and possible blog posts!
