- My Answers
- Do you have a favorite author? If so, who and why? If not, why not?
This is difficult to answer since I have lots of favourite authors in different genres. I enjoy country house mysteries and my favourites are those by Agatha Christie with Georgette Heyer a close second. As classics go, Jane Austen, Daphne du Maurier, E.M. Forster, F.-Scott Fitzgerald, Virginia Woolf and many more.I also enjoy contemporary fiction largely of the “chick lit” variety but I don’t mind modern thrillers either.
- What was the first book you remember enjoying reading?
It was Merry Mister Meddle by Enid Blyton. As a child I was a die hard Enid Blyton fan. In fact my love for detective fiction began with her Five Find Outers mysteries.
- What three books best sum up your taste in literature?
Again, it is very difficult for me to confine myself to just three as that would leave some genres unrepresented.
Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
Rebecca by Daphne duMaurier
A very diverse love of literature! Great authors all…! ☺
