TODAY’S QUOTE:

“A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.” — Richard Bach
MY THOUGHTS:
” Winners never quit,
And quitters never win.”
I think this is what Richard Bach’s quote refers to. Consistent effort is the basic difference between amateur and professional anything, not just writing.
What do you think? I would love to know.

🙂 I absolutely agree with the quote. How do you expect to win if you are so eager to quit?
In everything we do, we have to keep on going in order to achieve success.

Being a professional is all about money. You don’t need to be a professional to enjoy writing and have fun as a blogger.

Too true Marilyn.
I would be glad to make the small amount that I spent on my WordPress personal plan each year.

I tend to be very pedantic when it comes to the term “professional”. As such, I prefer the following:
A professional writer is one who gets paid to write. An amateur writer is one who writes in spite of not being paid to do so.
