Crushed Caramel has nominated me for The Sunshine Blogger Award. I am overwhelmed since I still consider myself a fledgling blogger. It is therefore an indescribable feeling to be nominated for this award.

Here are Crushed Caramel’s eleven questions and my answers:

1. DO YOU EVER FEEL DISCOURAGED ABOUT BLOGGING? WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP YOURSELF MOTIVATED?
   Although I have never, ever felt discouraged about writing. I must admit to feeling a little discouraged about blogging at times. This is just due to the technical aspects since I am not very tech savvy.
   To stay motivated I “phone a phriend” : blogger Sadje of Keeping It Alive who is much better at the tech stuff than I am. My other source of motivation is the WordPress Reader. Reading blog posts by bloggers I admire is a huge source of motivation.
2. WHAT IS YOUR OWN FAVOURITE POST FROM YOUR SITE OR THE ONE YOU WOULD RECOMMEND READERS CHECK OUT FIRST?
   May I bend the rules and share two?

3. DO YOU ENJOY CAMPING OUT IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS?
   I love walking in the great outdoors as well as sitting outdoors and reading,. I wouldn’t mind a whole day spent outdoors but at the end of the day I would require a proper toilet. Hence I am afraid, camping is not my cup of tea; I love creature comforts too much.
4. DO YOU ENJOY PLAYING OR WATCHING SPORT? IF SO, WHICH SPORTS?
   I am a very boring person when it comes to sports. I neither watch nor play. When my family members are watching a game I sit in the living room with them and either do some needle work or work on my blog.
5. DO YOUR FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT YOUR BLOG SITE?
   Yes. they do, and are very supportive. They praise whatever and whenever I write. One of them is a blogger herself, Sadje, who was also nominated for this award. It is great fun discussing blogging with her and swapping tips.
6. WHAT IS YOUR MOST EMBARRASSING MEMORY OR EXPERIENCE?
   Life has many embarrassing moments. It is hard to pick the worst. My embarrassing moments usually result from my absent mindedness in remembering an appointment.
7. WHICH SONGS WOULD YOU SING IN THE SHOWER WHEN YOU THINK NOBODY CAN HEAR?
   There are so many, it is hard to pick.
   Most of the ABBA songs, and a few by Barbara Streisand.
8. IS ANYONE ELSE IN YOUR FAMILY A BLOGGER OR VLOGGER?
   No, I am afraid not.
9. IF YOU WERE BEING A TOURIST FOR A DAY IN LONDON – WHERE WOULD YOU VISIT?
   That is a difficult question as there is so much to see in London. If I just had a day, I would take a cruise on the Thames ( we did this once with a very nice guide who gave a short description and history of the sites along the way). Another good idea for doing London in just one day is the Big Bus/ Red Bus Tour.
10. COULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM CAKE?
    My dream cake is a Nine Layer Opera Cake that a young friend baked. It had layers of chocolate, fondant, sponge, mousse and a coffee flavoured layer. It was truly a dream.
11. DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE TV DETECTIVE?
    Do I? I think I have about a dozen. To name a few: Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot ,the new Sherlock, Remington Steele.
