The explorer crouched on all fours. He had been sitting there for some time but did not feel tired. He had enough energy to match his enthusiasm.
With his magnifying glass he could see the creature inching towards him. He wanted to capture it . He inverted a glass beaker on top of it. To his dismay, the creature began to writhe. After a few seconds, it was still.
At the tender age of five, the young explorer had learned a very valuable lesson :
Living things need air to stay alive.

It’s a fun time when kids play with the bugs outside. Not so much fun when they bring them into the house. 🙂
